Sunday Morning Small Groups 2018

Beginning January 7, 2018, we will have four ongoing small groups that will meet on Sunday mornings at 9:15 am.  All groups will be doing the same study of the Gospel of Mark (Jan - March).  The groups will be led by Dan Sipka (Young at Heart), Doug Hanna &  Brad  Nadolson, Mark Platt, & Pastor Ken.  Feel free to visit different groups until you decide on the one you want to continue with and join.  The small group you join will continue to meet throughout the year each Sunday morning at 9:15 am.

A Short Study of the Life of Jesus

Mark is the shortest and simplest of the four Gospels and gives us a crisp and fast-moving account of the life of Jesus. Mark tells the story of the Servant who is constantly on the move preaching, teaching, healing, and finally dying for sinful mankind.

Mark’s account of Jesus’ earthly ministry begins with the masses, soon narrows to just the twelve disciples and then finally culminates on the cross. There the Servant Jesus who “did not come to be served, but to serve,” makes the supreme sacrifice of servanthood by giving “His life as a ransom for many.”

Mark’s portrayal of Jesus as a selfless servant becomes an   example and pattern for all those who would follow in Jesus’ steps.
